Terms of Usage
The ground rules for using this website and for the plumbing work we do. Nothing here replaces the written estimate, invoice, or warranty you receive for a specific job — those documents govern the work itself.

1. Accepting these terms
By using this website — browsing it, submitting the booking form, or calling a number listed on it — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms cover the website and the general relationship between us. When you hire us, the written estimate, invoice, and warranty for your specific job control the details of that work. Where those documents and this page disagree, the job documents win.
2. What we do, and where
Hard Knox Plumbing provides residential plumbing service — water heaters, tankless systems, drain repair and clearing, water line repairs, fixture repair and replacement, water filtration, and new construction plumbing — to homes within roughly 25 miles of Knoxville, Tennessee.
We are licensed and insured in the State of Tennessee. Some work requires a permit or an inspection; when it does, we will tell you before the job starts and handle the paperwork.
3. Estimates, pricing, and payment
- Prices, promotions, and service descriptions on this website are for general information and are not an offer or a binding quote.
- A binding price comes only from a written estimate for your specific job, after we have seen the work. You approve that price before we begin.
- If we uncover something the estimate could not have anticipated — a second failed line, an inaccessible valve, damage behind a wall — we stop, explain it, and get your approval before continuing.
- Payment is due on completion unless your written agreement says otherwise. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of service.
4. Scheduling, arrival windows, and cancellations
Submitting the online form or leaving a message is a service request, not a confirmed appointment. An appointment exists once our office has confirmed it with you.
Plumbing work does not run on a train timetable. Emergencies and jobs that turn out larger than expected can move an arrival window; when that happens we will call you rather than leave you waiting. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule, and make sure someone 18 or older can give us access to the work area.
5. Emergency and after-hours work
We answer the phone 24 hours a day and dispatch for genuine emergencies — uncontrolled water, no water, sewage backups, unsafe water heaters. After-hours and same-day emergency work is priced differently from a scheduled visit, and we tell you that rate on the phone before dispatching a truck.
We cannot guarantee a specific arrival time for emergency calls. We will give you an honest window based on where you are and what is already in progress.
6. Warranty and satisfaction guarantee
We warranty our workmanship, and manufacturer warranties apply to the equipment we install. The specific terms, duration, and exclusions for your job appear on your invoice or warranty document.
Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, freezing, foreign objects, tree roots, ground movement, work performed by others, or normal wear on existing parts we did not supply. If something we installed fails within its warranty period, call us first — we would rather come back than have you hire someone else to redo our work.
7. What we need from you
- Safe, reasonable access to the work area, including crawlspaces, shut-offs, and equipment.
- Accurate information about the property, prior repairs, and any known hazards.
- Pets secured and valuables or fragile items moved out of the work area.
- Permission to perform the work — if you are not the owner, you confirm you are authorized to approve it.
Older homes sometimes hide surprises: brittle pipe, undersized lines, prior work that was never done to code. We take care, but we cannot be responsible for pre-existing conditions that fail while adjacent work is performed. We will always tell you what we find.
8. Financing
Financing is offered through independent third-party lenders. Approval, rates, terms, and servicing are theirs, not ours, and applying is governed by their agreements and privacy policies. We can point you to the application; we do not decide the outcome.
9. Calls and text messages
By giving us your phone number you agree that we may call or text you about your request, appointment, estimate, or invoice. Marketing messages, if you opt in, can be stopped at any time by replying STOP. Carrier message and data rates may apply. Calls may be recorded for quality and training.
10. Website content and intellectual property
The text, photographs, logos, and design on this site belong to Hard Knox Plumbing or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print, and share pages for your own use in evaluating or arranging plumbing work. You may not copy the content for a competing commercial purpose, scrape it in bulk, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.
11. The information on this site is general
Articles, how-to guidance, and troubleshooting tips on this site are general information about plumbing, not instructions for your specific house. Plumbing work carries real risk of water damage, scalding, gas hazards, and injury. If you are not sure, stop and call a licensed plumber — that is what the phone number is for.
This website is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or complete, and specifications or prices shown may change without notice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Tennessee law allows, Hard Knox Plumbing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or reliance on its general information. Our responsibility for the plumbing work we perform is governed by your written estimate, invoice, and warranty, together with our insurance coverage.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute relating to this website or our services will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Knox County, Tennessee. Before that, please call us — nearly everything gets resolved with a conversation and a return visit.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business or the law changes. The current version always appears on this page with its “last updated” date. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
