Our Story
Why two working plumbers started their own company.
Danny Ferris and Jarrett Mohn had both spent years in the trade before starting Hard Knox in 2023, and they’d both watched the same thing happen over and over: a homeowner with a straightforward problem, handed a quote for work they didn’t need, from a technician being paid a commission to sell it.
So the company was built with that removed. Flat-rate prices quoted before the work starts. Technicians on wages, not commission. A real person answering the phone at any hour — because a plumbing emergency at 1am is exactly when you find out what a company actually is.
Three years in, we’re seven people running out of a shop at 3414 Henson Rd C, serving Knoxville, Farragut, Hardin Valley, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, Loudon, Alcoa, Maryville, and everything in between. The 5.0 Google rating is the part we’re proudest of, because it’s the only part we couldn’t buy.

Manufacturer warranty on equipment plus our own workmanship warranty. If something we did fails, we come back and make it right.
